DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN BARANGAY POBLACION DISTRICT 1, BROOKES POINT, PALAWAN DUE TO THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF A FIRE ON 26 FEBRUARY 1995

WHEREAS, the National Disaster Coordinating Council recommends the declaration of a State of Public Calamity in Barangay Poblacion District I, Brookes Point, Palawan, which were affected by a fire which occurred on February 26, 1995;

WHEREAS, fifty-nine 59 families were rendered homeless, with thirty-seven 37 houses totally razed to the ground;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare a state of public calamity in Barangay Poblacion District I, Brookes Point, Palawan.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.
