DELINEATING THE METES AND BOUNDS OF THE SUBIC SPECIAL ECONOMIC AND FREEPORT ZONE ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7227, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “BASES CONVERSION AND DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1992”, APPROVED MARCH 13, 1992

Upon recommendation of the OIC-Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and the Chairman and Administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate the metes and bounds of the Subic Special Economic and Freeport, consisting of the city of Olongapo and the municipality of Subic, province of Zambales, the lands occupied by the Subic Naval Base and its contiguous extensions as embraced, covered, and defined by the 1947 Military Bases Agreement between the Philippines and the United States of America as amended, and within the territorial jurisdiction of the Municipalities of Morong and Hermosa, Province of Bataan, and the Municipality of San Antonio, Province of Zambales, as follows:

The boundaries and limits of the Subic Freeport Zone are described by the following technical descriptions:

Bounded on the W and NW along pts. 1 to 7 by the South China Sea beginning at a point of origin marked “1” located at Binictican Pt. with a bearing of S79º08'18"W, 1920.25 m to pt. 2 located at Sampaloc Point; thence line 2 – 3 with a bearing of N70º47'07"W, 6421.72 m. to point 3 located at Silanguin Island; thence, line 3 – 4 with a bearing of N32º16'33"W having a distance of 4118.27 m; thence line 4 – 5 with a bearing of N05º33'08"W having a distance of 2965.74 m; thence line 5 – 6 with a bearing of N14º51'48"W having a distance of 4361.41 m; thence line 6 – 7 with a bearing of N05º39'36"E having a distance of 1265.83 m; bounded along line 7 – 8 on the NE by Twin Peaks with a bearing of N48º45'17"E having a distance of 1995.26 m; thence bounded along line 8 – 9 on the N by Mount Pink with a bearing of N89º46'10"E having a distance of 7712.96 m; bounded along line 9 – 10 on NE by Mount Casagoton with a bearing of N48º25'04"E having a distance of 922.27 m; bounded along line 10 – 11 on NE traversing through Mt. Rosa with a bearing of S33º24'37"W having a distance of 3491.23 m; bounded along line 34 – 35 on the S by Mount Silanganan with a bearing of S83º48'36"W having a distance of 6380.53 m; bounded on S by line 35 – 36 with a bearing of N84º24'47"W having a distance of 2283.48 m with pt. 36 located at Dapua Pt; thence along line 36 – 37 with a bearing of S79º24'48"W having a distance of 2466.37 m following the shoreline with pt. 37 located at Buin Pt. and pt. 37 to pt. of origin on the S with a bearing of N84º43'17"W having a distance of 8678.81 m.1aшphi1

Total land and water area is sixty seven thousand four hundred fifty two (67,452) hectares more or less.

NOTE: ALL DATA are approximate and subject to change based on future surveys

Pending the establishment of secure perimeters around the Subic Bay Freeport, the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority pursuant to the Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992 (R.A. No. 7227) is authorized to adopt and implement the gradual and phased operation of areas within the Subic Bay Freeport to ensure strict compliance with the aforesaid Act, its implementing Rules and Regulations, and other Philippine laws.

The maintenance and protection of the proclaimed Watershed Reservations and natural resources within the Subic Bay Freeport shall be vested in the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
