DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 3 TO 10, 1994, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS UP MBA ANNIVERSARY WEEK

WHEREAS, the UP MBA Society was organized on December 3, 1974, to promote and encourage the highest standards and code of conduct in the management profession, especially among the alumni of the University of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, on December 3, 1994, the UP MBA Society will hold its 20th Foundation Anniversary to be participated in by all alumni of the UP MBA program, who are all leading practitioners in the field of top management in business, commerce, trade, industry, government, academe, and NGOs both of national as well as international scope;

WHEREAS, this special anniversary affords a vast opportunity for management practitioners to renew their commitment to Excellence and Service, and to plan and discuss future directions in a common effort with both the public and private sector to attain national progress and prosperity for the Filipino people;

WHEREAS, it is highly desirable to set aside a period to accord special attention, interest and awareness among the public on the critical role that management leaders play in shaping the economic and social expectations of the nation.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 3 to 10, 1994, and every year thereafter as the UP MBA Anniversary Week.
