PROCLAMATION DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAPAZ, CAPIZ, ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY RAT INFESTATION

Upon recommendation of Secretary Renato S. de Villa of National Defense as Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare a state of calamity in the Municipality of Tapaz, Capiz, adversely affected by rat infestation.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.

The local government units concerned should set aside five per cent (5%) of their annual budgets as reserve for disaster operations.ℒαwρhi৷ The declaration of a state of calamity will authorize the same LGUs to utilize their own calamity funds for the initial operations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
