DECLARING NOVEMBER 8 OF EVERY YEAR AS ZONTA DAY IN THE PHILIPPINES

WHEREAS, the Government of the Philippines is encouraged by the tremendous cooperation of the private sector in its efforts to hasten national growth;

WHEREAS, these volunteers, especially those systematically grouped in non-governmental organizations or NGOs, have accelerated their involvement in a host of areas, including health, the status of women, literacy, environment, and livelihood;

WHEREAS, noticeably in the forefront of such service groups are the ZONTA CLUBS, which in a nationwide scale have over the years established a record of sustained services that have altogether significantly improved the quality of life of our communities and contributed to our progress as a nation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare November 8 of every year as ZONTA DAY in the Philippines.ℒαwρhi৷
