[ Proclamation No. 381, May 16, 1994 ]

AUTHORIZING THE EPHPHETA FOUNDATION FOR THE BLIND, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR

WHEREAS, the Ephpheta Foundation for the Blind, Inc., was last authorized under Proclamation No. 342 dated March 17, 1994, to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year;

WHEREAS, the Ephpheta Foundation for the Blind, Inc., would like to pursue its Outreach Programs through the completion of its Ephpheta Home for the Aged Blind in Hermosa, Bataan, and Ephpheta Center for the Disabled in Libon, Albay;

WHEREAS, the Ephpheta Foundation for the Blind, Inc., needs additional time to raise more funds for its laudable goal;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Ephpheta Foundation for the Blind, Inc., to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.1aшphi1

For this purpose, all donations, bequests, and gifts received by the Ephpheta Foundation for the Blind, Inc., for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be entitled to all the tax exemption and deductibility benefits provided in the appropriate provisions of the National Revenue Code, as amended, and its implementing rules and regulations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and cause the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
