[ Proclamation No. 362, April 28, 1994 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, MAY 9, 1994, AS SPECIAL DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, Section 43(c) of Republic Act No. 7160 provides that the elections of barangay officials will be held on the second Monday of May 1994;

WHEREAS, Monday, May 9, 1994, should be declared a special day to give the people fullest opportunity to participate in the said elections;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, May 9, 1994, as special day throughout the country.
