DECLARING 27 APRIL, 1994 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN LAPU-LAPU CITY TO COMMEMORATE THE LAPU-LAPU CITY CHARTER DAY AND THE BATTLE OF MACTAN

WHEREAS, both the anniversaries of the Lapu-Lapu City Charter Day and the Battle of Mactan fall on 27 April 1994;

WHEREAS, the residents of Lapu-lapu City desire to celebrate, with fitting ceremonies, these events of historical importance to the City and the Nation as a whole;

WHEREAS, Section 27 Chapter 7, Book I of the Administrative Code of 1987 authorizes the President to proclaim a local special day for a particular date, group or place;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 27 April 1994 as a Special Day in Lapu-lapu City.1aшphi1
