DECLARING THE WEEK FALLING WITHIN JUNE 15 OF EVERY YEAR AS “CEBU BUSINESS WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization envisioned to become the leading business organization servicing the interest of its members and the business community at large;

WHEREAS, in almost 63 years of its existence, CCCI had continually served as the nerve center of the Cebu business community undertaking comprehensive package of programs and projects geared towards the upliftment of the quality of life in Cebu;

WHEREAS, in the pursuit of its goals, it is necessary that relevant information and technologies be disseminated and transferred to the various sectors of the business community;

WHEREAS, the annual celebration of the Cebu Business Week will provide a venue through which businessmen can share relevant information and technologies that will promote trade, commerce and industry designed to contribute to the growth and development of Cebu in general;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the week falling within June 15 of every year as “Cebu Business Week.”
