DECLARING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1994, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN LIPA CITY

WHEREAS, the townspeople of Lipa City would like to commemorate the noble deeds of a great Filipino, Don Claro Mayo Recto, a son of Lipa, known as statesman, constitutionalist, jurist, internationalist, parliamentarian, poet, scholar linguist, patriot, and nationalist;

WHEREAS, Honorable Don Claro M. Recto, in the tradition of our great heroes, is worthy of the same recognition given to them, so humble for his remarkable achievements but which will set a true example and serve as inspiration for present and future generations;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Tuesday, February 8, 1994, as a special day in Lipa City.
