DECLARING 10 JANUARY 1994 AS DAY OF PEACE IN DAVAO CITY AND IN THE PROVINCES OF DAVAO DEL NORTE, DAVAO ORIENTAL AND DAVAO DEL SUR

WHEREAS, there is a scheduled Peace March and Ecumenical Prayer Rally on Monday, January 10, 1994, in Davao City to be attended by labor and business groups, schools and civic organizations as well as government agencies, together with the Muslim community; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to show full government support to the peace rally in line with the peoples aspirations for a just and lasting peace not only in Davao City but also in the three Davao Provinces;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, January 10, 1994 as Day of Peace in Davao City, and the three Provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental and Davao del Sur.
