DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 21 TO 27, 1992, AS PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION WEEK

WHEREAS, the gains of the reestablished democratic order in the Philippines must be preserved and protected from adverse forces and its frontiers must be advanced into the future;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to have a deeper discussion and appreciation of the trends, needs, and issues confronting public administration and the bureaucracy in the context of a fragile democracy;

WHEREAS, it is imperative to heighten the consciousness of public servants about the need for competent and sincere public service in order to fortify the faith of the Filipino in constitutional democracy;

WHEREAS, in order to forward the noble cause of public administration in the Philippines, it is necessary to set aside a period of both pragmatic and scholarly reflection on the state of the art;

WHEREAS, the College of Public Administration, University of the Philippines, is celebrating its 40th Anniversary and will be sponsoring the 4th National Conference on Public Administration from June 24 to 26, 1992;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from June 21 to 27, 1992, as Public Administration Week.ℒαwρhi৷
