DECLARING A PERIOD OF NATIONAL MOURNING OVER THE DEATH OF LORENZO M. TAŅADA, FORMER SENATOR OF THE REPUBLIC

WHEREAS, the death of Lorenzo M. Taņada, former Senator of the Republic, nationalist and statesman, is a great loss to our people and had caused deep sorrow among them;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim a period of national mourning beginning May 30, 1992 for our beloved Lorenzo M. Taņada and to continue up to the date of interment. During this period, flags of all government buildings and installations throughout the country shall be flown at half mast.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
