RESERVING FOR RESETTLEMENT SITE PURPOSES OF THE MOUNT PINATUBO VICTIMS A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN LOCATED IN THE SITIO OF BAQUILAN, BARANGAY OF SAN JUAN, MUNICIPALITY OF BOTOLAN, PROVINCE OF ZAMBALES, ISLAND OF LUZON
In consideration of the urgent need to assist the families affected by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo by providing them with suitable resettlement areas and livelihood opportunities conducive to their economic recovery, and upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and the Presidential Task Force created under Memorandum Order No. 369, dated June 26, 1991, and by the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby reserve for resettlement and livelihood purposes, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to future classification and survey, a parcel of land of the public domain situated in the Sitio of Baquilan, Barangay of San Juan, Municipality of Botolan, Province of Zambales, Island of Luzon, and more particularly described as follows:
A PARCEL OF LAND (Being a portion of Lots 5609, 5731, 5623, 5733 and the whole of Lot 5732, Botolan Cad. 614-D, as shown in the attached sketch plan) situated in Sitio Baquilan, Barangay of San Juan, Municipality of Botolan, Province of Zambales, Island of Luzon. Bounded on the W., along lines 1-7 by portion of Lot 5609; along line 7-8 by Lot 5596; along lines 8-10 by Lot 5594; along lines 10-12 by Lots 5609 (portion) and Lot 5623 (portion), along lines 16-18 by Lot 5628; along lines 18-20 by Lot 5733 (portion); along lines 20-23 by Lot 5734; on the N., along line 23-24 by Lot 5731 (portion; on the E., and S., along lines 26-1 by Lot 5609; all of Botolan Cadastre. of beginning, containing an area of THREE MILLION ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY SIX THOUSAND AND TEN (3,176,010) SQUARE METERS, MORE OR LESS.
The lots within this Proclamation shall be disposed of through stewardship contract under the Integrated Social Forestry Program inasmuch as the area is presently classified as forest land subject to appropriate modes of disposition under the Public Land Law, as amended, should there be a reclassification later.
The Presidential Task Force created under Memorandum Order No. 369, dated June 26, 1991 is empowered to issue implementing guidelines in accordance with the purposes of this Proclamation.ℒαwρhi৷
