[ Proclamation No. 8, July 23, 1992 ]

DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE ENTIRE PROVINCE OF NUEVA ECIJA, INCLUDING THE CITIES OF CABANATUAN AND PALAYAN, DUE TO THE ADVERSE EFFECTS BROUGHT ABOUT BY TROPICAL DEPRESSION “DITANG” WHICH TRIGGERED FLASHFLOODS IN SAID AREAS.

Upon the recommendation of the Chairman, National Disaster Coordinating Council, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declared a state of public calamity in the entire Province of Nueva Ecija, including the cities of Cabanatuan and Palayan, due to the adverse effects brought about by tropical depression “Ditang” which triggered flashfloods in said areas.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.
