DECLARING TUESDAY, 12 MAY 1992, AS A NATIONWIDE SPECIAL DAY

WHEREAS, the elections for the President, Vice-President, Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, and local officials shall be held on Monday, 11 May 1992;

WHEREAS, qualified voters who shall exercise their right of suffrage in places other than their places of work or temporary residence should be given sufficient time to return to their respective places of work or temporary residence;

WHEREAS, the Commission on Elections as well as the different Boards of Canvassers should be given ample opportunity to thoroughly perform their functions consistent with the requirements of free, orderly and honest elections even after election day;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, 12 May 1992, as a nationwide special non-working day.ℒαwρhi৷
