[ Proclamation No. 890, April 13, 1992 ]

EXCLUDING FROM THE OPERATION OF PROCLAMATION NO. 284 DATED 19 JULY 1938, AS AMENDED, WHICH ESTABLISHED A COAL MINING RESERVATION, A CERTAIN AREA EMBRACED THEREIN, AND DECLARING THE SAME AS A GOVERNMENT MINERAL RESERVATION OPEN FOR DISPOSITION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 279, SERIES OF 1987

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby exclude from the operation of Proclamation No. 284 dated 19 July 1938, as amended, which issuance established a Coal Mining Reservation, a certain area more particularly defined in the Office of Energy Affairs Coal Blocking System as:

CBS 42-H-159, and bounded by Longitudes 122° 5700” to 122° 5830” and Latitude 7° 3200” to 7° 3400”

and declare the said area as a government mineral reservation open for disposition to qualified mining applicants pursuant to the provisions of Executive Order No. 279 dated 25 July 1987 entitled “Authorizing the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources to Negotiate and Conclude Joint Venture, Co-Production, or Production-Sharing Agreements for the Exploration, Development and Utilization of Mineral Resources, and Prescribing the Guidelines for such Agreements and those Agreements Involving Technical or Financial Assistance by Foreign-Owned Corporations for Large-Scale Exploration, Development, and Utilization of Minerals.”
