[ Proclamation No. 66, October 7, 1992 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 5 TO 11, 1992, AS “CHILD DEVELOPMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, there is an urgent call for the nation to give priority to the caring and rearing of children who will be proud to be called Filipino;

WHEREAS, there is also an urgent need to raise the consciousness of children about the situation of the country and what they can do to minimize and prevent these social problems; and

WHEREAS, there is a need for the community to join hands in giving the essential support to the family and child-caring and child development institution;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 5 to 11, 1992, as “CHILD DEVELOPMENT WEEK”.

All sectors of society and government shall join hands in pursuing projects and activities geared toward inspiring children, families, and community-based organizations and institutions to implement activities that will result to developing the full potentials of every Filipino child.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
