DECLARING SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1992, AS DON EUGENIO S. DAZA DAY IN BORONGAN, SAMAR

WHEREAS, Sunday, November 15, 1992, marks the 122nd birth anniversary of the late Don Eugenio S. Daza;

WHEREAS, Don Eugenio S. Daza rendered invaluable service to our country and to the Filipino people as a teacher, revolutionary leader, and legislator;

WHEREAS, Don Eugenio S. Daza, as a Major, was the overall Commander of Revolutionary Forces in the East Coast of Samar during the 1896 Philippine Revolution and the Brains of the Balangiga “Massacre” Encounter;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents of Borongan, Eastern Samar, his birthplace, be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Sunday, November 15, 1992, as Don Eugenio S. Daza Day in Borongan, Eastern Samar.1aшphi1
