DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 7 TO 12, 1992, AS “MANAGEMENT CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Council of Management (PHILCOMAN) is sponsoring the 24th Management Congress on September 10 to 11, 1992, in Manila, on the theme “Philippines, Inc. in Transition – Developmental Strategies Under the New Administration,” which will be attended by management experts, practitioners, educators, and students;

WHEREAS, management consciousness is essential to the promotion of better business practices, increased productivity, and improved public administration and services, which are vital prerequisites to economic development and progress;

WHEREAS, there is a need to promote management consciousness in both the public and private sectors to help achieve the development goals of the nation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 7 to 12, 1992, as “Management Consciousness Week” under the auspices of the Philippine Council of Management and other concerned organizations.1aшphi1

I call upon all management practitioners, educators and students to give the observance of the week their full support.
