AUTHORIZING ANEW THE MANILA METROPOLITAN THEATER FOUNDATION, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN

WHEREAS, the authority to conduct a national fund campaign granted to the Manila Metropolitan Theater Foundation, Inc., under Proclamation No. 405, series of 1989, and subsequently extended under proclamation Nos. 539 and 728, series of 1990 and 1991, respectively, has expired on May 31, 1992;

WHEREAS, the Manila Metropolitan Theater Foundation, Inc. needs to raise more funds to become self-sustaining and be able to achieve its outreach programs and implement its main objective of promoting arts and culture in the country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby grant the Manila Metropolitan Theater Foundation, Inc. the authority to conduct from August 1, 1992 to August 1, 1993 its national fund campaign.

For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts received by the Manila Metropolitan Theater Foundation, Inc., for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be entitled to all the tax exemption and deductibility benefits provided in the appropriate provisions of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended, and its implementing rules and regulations.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
