DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN CERTAIN PROVINCES AND CITIES IN REGIONS I, II AND THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION WHICH SUFFERED FROM THE EFFECTS OF TYPHOON “TRINING.”

WHEREAS, super typhoon which code name “Trining” wrought destruction in the country, particularly Northern Luzon;

WHEREAS, initial reports revealed that 15,222 families or 84,732 persons were affected, 7,628 houses were damaged, including agricultural crops and infrastructure valued at P25,171,675.00 and P5,800,000.00, respectively; and

WHEREAS, in order to cushion the adverse impact of the typhoon, the National Disaster Coordinating Council recommends the declaration of a state of public calamity in the affected areas.
