DECLARING FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1991, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN BORONGAN, EASTERN SAMAR

WHEREAS, Friday, November 15, 1991, marks the 121st birth anniversary of the late Don Eugenio S. Daza;

WHEREAS, Don Eugenio S. Daza rendered invaluable service to our country and to the Filipino people as a teacher, revolutionary leader, and legislator;

WHEREAS, Don Eugenio S. Daza, as a Major, was the overall Commander of Revolutionary Forces in the East Coast of Samar during the 1896 Philippine Revolution and the Brain of the Balangiga “Massacre Encounter;

WHEREAS, Don Eugenio S. Dazas achievements deserve honor and remembrance, and should forever remain in the hearts of the Filipino people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Revised Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Friday, November 15, 1991, a special day in Borongan, Eastern Samar.
