[ Proclamation No. 806, October 2, 1991 ]

AUTHORIZING THE FEDERATION OF SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR

WHEREAS, the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. in consonance with the governments call for greater efforts in improving the situation of the poor and disadvantaged has accelerated its programs to fully reach the senior citizen;

WHEREAS, projects and activities of the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. can not be fully undertaken without the support of the various sectors of society;

WHEREAS, to enable the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. to generate the much needed resources to continue its projects and activities for the needy senior citizens, a nationwide membership and fund campaign is necessary;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.

For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts received by the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the income of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Sections 94 (a) (3) and (b) (2) and 29 (h) (2) (C) (i) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.ℒαwρhi৷
