[ Proclamation No. 789, September 4, 1991 ]

DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 1991, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE FIRST DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF SOUTH COTABATO.

WHEREAS, September 5, 1991 marks the reinternment of the remains of the late General Paulino Santos, the First Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the residents of General Santos City and the Municipalities of Polomolok, Tampakan, and Tupi where the late General Santos established numerous settlements, desire to commemorate the event with fitting programs and ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, September 5, 1991, as special day in the City of General Santos, and in the Municipalities of Polomolok, Tampakan and Tupi.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.ℒαwρhi৷
