[ Proclamation No. 787, August 30, 1991 ]

AUTHORIZING THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 1991 TO AUGUST 31, 1992

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) is committed to promote the ability of young boys to do things for themselves and others, to train them in scoutcraft, and to teach them patriotism, courage, self-reliance, and kindred virtues;

WHEREAS, through its program of character building and citizenship training among the youth, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines has amply demonstrated during its more than 50 years of existence its noble objectives to merit the continued moral and financial support of the people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Boy Scouts of the Philippines to conduct a national campaign from September 1, 1991 to August 31, 1992.

For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts received by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the income of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Sections 94 (a) (3) and (b) (2) and 29 (h) (2) (C) (i) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.ℒαwρhi৷

Proclamation No. 2386, series of 1984, is hereby superseded.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
