[ Proclamation No. 710, April 5, 1991 ]

AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY CHEST FOUNDATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR

WHEREAS, the Community Chest Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit, private, voluntary, charitable, welfare and civic organization, has since 1949 continuously and effectively carried out the noble mission of social service;

WHEREAS, with its dedicated commitment to the service of humanity, Community Chest Foundation, Inc., recognizes the need to improve and expand its services to our less fortunate fellowmen through the admission of selected and deserving organizations applying for membership;

WHEREAS, in order to effectively carry out its noble objectives, the Foundation needs the financial and moral support of the public.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Community Chest Foundation, Inc., (CCFI) to conduct a national educational and fund campaign for a period of one year, effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.ℒαwρhi৷

For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts received by the Community Chest Foundation, Inc., for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the income of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Sections 94 (a) (3) and (b) (2) and 29 (h) (2) (C) (i) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
