DECLARING SATURDAY, MARCH 2, 1991, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOILO AND IN THE CITY OF ILOILO

WHEREAS, Saturday, March 2, 1991, marks the 100th birth anniversary of the late Senator Tomas Confesor, War Hero and Nationalist, who served as Governor of the Civil Resistance Government of Panay and Romblon;

WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Iloilo and the City of Iloilo should be given full opportunity to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of the late Tomas Confesor with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 27, Chapter 7, Book 1, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Saturday, March 2, 1991, as a special day in the Province of Iloilo and in the City of Iloilo.
