DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 28 TO MARCH 2, 1991, AS ROTARY DAYS

WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Manila and the District 381 of Rotary International will hold the District Conference (Discon) 91 in Manila on February 28 to March 2, 1991;

WHEREAS, the Conference will be participated in by some 3,000 Rotarians and Rotary Anns who are leaders in prominent business and professional corporations in the Philippines;

WHEREAS, this endeavor will help enhance and motivate the active participation of non-government organization (NGOs) in nation-building;

WHEREAS, it is desirable to set aside a period to accord special attention to the various programs and projects of the Rotary for the poor, including its thrusts to promote and initiate various peace and environmental projects:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from February 28 to March 2, 1991 as Rotary Days.ℒαwρhi৷
