[ Proclamation No. 659, October 30, 1990 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 311, DATED AUGUST 26, 1988, WHICH DECLARED THE SECOND WEEK OF SEPTEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS THE HOTEL AND RESTAURANT INDUSTRY WEEK.

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 311, s. 1988, declared the second week of September of every year as the Hotel and Restaurant Industry Week;

WHEREAS, the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP) will host the Asean Hotel and Restaurant (AHRA) Convention in Manila coinciding with the HRAP National Convention and the Annual Chefs on Parade from November 18 to 22, 1990;

WHEREAS, it would be appropriate that, after this year only, the celebration of the Hotel and Restaurant Industry Week be made to coincide with these significant events of the industry;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 311, dated August 26, 1988, which declared the second week of September of every year as the Hotel and Restaurant Industry Week, by declaring the period from November 18 to 22, 1990 and thereafter the second week of September of every year as the Hotel and Restaurant Industry Week.ℒαwρhi৷
