[ Proclamation No. 658, October 22, 1990 ]

AUTHORIZING THE HERO FOUNDATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR

WHEREAS, HERO Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit and charitable organization is an entity primarily committed for the purpose of providing free educational grants and other form of assistance to children of members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Integrated National Police who die or get permanently incapacitated in the line of duty.

WHEREAS, the noble and laudable purposes of the said foundation deserve the full support of the public as well as the private sector;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the law, do hereby authorized the HERO Foundation, Inc., to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.

For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts received by the HERO Foundation, Inc., for the implementation of its programs, projects and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the income of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Sections 94 (a) (3) and (b) (2) and 29 (h) (2) (C) (i) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal to the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
