[ Proclamation No. 555, April 16, 1990 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 14 TO 20, 1990, AS NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION WEEK

WHEREAS, the construction industry constitutes an important segment of the industrial sector and contribute significantly to the countrys gross national product;

WHEREAS, the countrys goal of providing housing and infrastructure facilities for economic growth is dependent upon a strong and unified construction sector;

WHEREAS, the celebration of a National Construction Week is intended to provide a venue for all industry constituents to come together to assess the performance of the industry, arrive at solutions to problems, and map out an integrated action plan for the industry.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from May 14 to 20, 1990, as “National Construction Week” under the auspices of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines and the Philippine Constructors Association and other concerned private and government entities.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
