DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 18 TO 24, 1990 AS “NATIONAL MASS MEDIA WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Press Foundation of Asia, an association which represents various publishing houses and national press institutes in the Asia region, will hold its Fourth One Asia Assembly in Manila on February 18 to 22, 1990 under the theme “People, Media and Power - Moving in the 21st Century”;

WHEREAS, the assembly will be attended by both foreign and local publishers, editors and mass media people;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper to dedicate the period to focus attention on the vital role of media moving into the 21st century;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from February 18 to 24 as “National Mass Media Week” under the auspices of the One Asia Assembly.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
