[ Proclamation No. 346, November 11, 1988 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 20 TO 26, 1988, AS THE NATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE WEEK.

WHEREAS, the National Social Science Congress II will be held on November 24 to 26, 1988, with the end in view of bringing together the social scientists in order to focus on the theme “Social Sciences and Economic Recovery”;

WHEREAS, the social scientists occupy certain structural and intellectual positions in society that make them potentially privileged to make a substantial contribution towards the attainment of a stable and progressive economy; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus public attention on the significant role that the social scientists play in the countrys economic and social development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 20 to 26, 1988, as the National Social Science Week.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
