DECLARING TUESDAY, DECEMBER 27, 1988, AS “DON JUAN MARQUEZ SUMULONG DAY” IN ANTIPOLO, RIZAL.

WHEREAS, Tuesday, December 27, 1988, marks the 114th birth anniversary of the late Don Juan Marquez Sumulong, Senator, Statesman, who in his time earned the title “The Brains of the Opposition”; and

WHEREAS, the people of Antipolo, Rizal, his birthplace, should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, December 27, 1988, as “DON JUAN MARQUEZ SUMULONG DAY” in Antipolo, Rizal. The day shall be a regular working day.1aшphi1
