[ Proclamation No. 344, November 11, 1988 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 21-27, 1988, AS “NATIONAL KARTING WEEK”.

WHEREAS, the 3rd Philippine International Karting Prix (PIKP), a world-class sports event, will be held at the Rizal Park on November 25-27, 1988;

WHEREAS, the event, which will be participated in by top karters of the world, promises to enhance the prospects of the country as a sports center and tourist destination; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that a week be set aside to provide the 3rd PIKP with the prestige and credibility it needs as an event of world-class standard;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 21-27, 1988 as “National Karting Week”.

The 3rd Philippine International Karting Prix may call upon offices and agencies of the government for assistance to insure the successful staging of the event.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
