[ Proclamation No. 342, November 10, 1988 ]

DECLARING THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1988, AS “DUMAGUETE CITY DAY”.

WHEREAS, Thursday, November 24, 1988, marks the 40th Charter Anniversary of Dumaguete City; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Dumaguete City desire to celebrate with fitting ceremonies this milestone in their citys history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, November 24, 1988, as “Dumaguete City Day”. The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.
