DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 30, 1988, AS A SPECIAL HOLIDAY IN SAN JUAN, METRO MANILA.

WHEREAS, the 92nd anniversary of the “Battle of Pinaglabanan”, an important event in our struggle for freedom, falls on August 30, 1988;

WHEREAS, said historical event is of special significance to the residents of San Juan, Metro Manila; and

WHEREAS, the people of San Juan should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 30, 1988, as a special holiday in San Juan, Metro Manila, in commemoration of the 92nd anniversary of the “Battle of Pinaglabanan”.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
