[ Proclamation No. 175, October 27, 1987 ]

DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCE OF CAGAYAN.

WHEREAS, heavy damage to crops and property was wrought by typhoon “Pepang” in the province of Cagayan; and

WHEREAS, a state of public calamity exists in the said province arising from the effects of the typhoon.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim a state of public calamity in the Province of Cagayan.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and the directive and order issued in connection with calamities.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
