[ Proclamation No. 147, August 27, 1987 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 1987, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF NUEVA ECIJA.

WHEREAS, Wednesday, September 2, 1987, marks the anniversary of the foundation of the Province of Nueva Ecija; and

WHEREAS, the residents of the Province of Nueva Ecija should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, September 2, 1987, as a special public holiday in the Province of Nueva Ecija.
