WHEREAS, the residents of Butuan City should be given the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, July 31, 1987, as a special public holiday in the City of Butuan.1aшphi1
