[ Proclamation No. 130, July 15, 1987 ]
DESIGNATING JULY 1, 1987 TO JUNE 30, 1992 AS THE PERIOD FOR THE PACIFIC WAR VETERANS HOMECOMING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Pacific War Veterans Homecoming Program is an essential component of the Department of Tourisms efforts to promote the Philippines as a primary destination of foreign tourists;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate July 1, 1987, to June 30, 1992 as the period for the Pacific War Veterans Homecoming Program.
The Pacific War Veterans Homecoming Program shall apply to veterans of World War II who served in the Philippines during that war, including Filipino veterans, the immediate members of the their families down to their grandchildren, or their immediate survivors down to their grandchildren. It shall equally apply to those who served tours of duty in the Philippines after World War II.1aшphi1
For this purpose, there is hereby created a Coordinating Committee for the Pacific War Veterans Homecoming Program, hereinafter referred to as the Committee, composed of the following:

The Committee shall formulate all the guidelines, and implement all the projects and activities of the Pacific War Veterans Homecoming Program.
All departments, agencies, offices and other instrumentalities including government-owned or controlled corporations are hereby enjoined to provide assistance to the Committee in ensuring the success of the Pacific War Veterans Homecoming Program.
I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to participate and extend their support to the Pacific War Veterans Homecoming Program.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and cause the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
