[ Proclamation No. 48, December 5, 1986 ]

DECLARING DECEMBER 6 AND 13, 1986, AS NON-WORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Executive Order No. 50, dated October 3, 1986, the existing permanent list of voters in every city and municipality has been declared null and void and a general registration of voters has been called;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1778 of the Commission on Elections, dated October 30, 1986, the following days namely; December 6, 7, 13 and 14, 1986, have been fixed as the dates of the general registration of voters;

WHEREAS, the two registration dates, namely, December 6 and 13, 1986, both fall on a Saturday; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to declare the aforesaid two registration dates as non-working special public holidays to give personnel of government and private firms opportunity to go home to their respective cities and municipalities to register;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare December 6 and 13, 1986, as non-working special public holidays.1aшphi1
