[ Proclamation No. 47, November 28, 1986 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 1 TO 7, 1986 AS “NATIONAL FURNITURE WEEK”.

WHEREAS, it is but proper that the government recognizes the role of Filipino furniture entrepreneurs and furniture craftsmen in national development;

WHEREAS, the holding of the National Convention of the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines on December 5-6, 1986 in Cebu City provides an opportune occasion for paying such recognition;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare December 1 to 7, 1986 as “National Furniture Week” in conjunction with the holding of the National Convention of the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines on December 5-6, 1986.
