[ Proclamation No. 25, August 29, 1986 ]

DECLARING SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 1986, AS A NON-WORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN.

WHEREAS, Marcelo H. del Pilar, our hero and patriot who used the nom de plume of “Plaridel” in his struggles in Spain to obtain reforms for the Philippines during the Spanish regime, was born in Bulacan, Bulacan, on August 30, 1850; and

WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Bulacan should be given full opportunity to celebrate Plaridel’s birthday with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, August 30, 1986, as a non-working special public holiday in the Province of Bulacan.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
