DECLARING SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 1986, AS A NON-WORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY, IN SAN JUAN, METRO MANILA.

WHEREAS, the 90th anniversary of the “Battle of Pinaglabanan,” an important event in our struggle for freedom, falls on August 30, 1986;

WHEREAS, said historical event is of special significance to the residents of San Juan, Metro Manila; and

WHEREAS, the people of San Juan should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, August 30, 1986 as a non-working special public holiday in San Juan, Metro Manila, in commemoration with the 90th anniversary of the “Battle of Pinaglabanan”.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
