[ Proclamation No. 20, August 12, 1986 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 13, “PROCLAIMING JUNE 1986 – MAY 1987 AS THE YEAR OF THE PROTECTION OF FILIPINO EXPLOITED CHILDREN, “DATED JUNE 3, 1986, BY RENAMING THE INTER-AGENCY TASK FORCE CREATED THEREIN TASK FORCE AND BY EXPANDING THE COMPOSITION THEREOF.

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 13 was issued to emphasize the policy of the State to promote the well-being and total development of the Filipino youth and children and to protect them from exploitation, abuse, improper influences, hazards and other conditions or circumstances prejudicial to their physical, mental, emotional, social and moral development;

WHEREAS, various private and non-government organizations have taken an active role in the crusade against child prostitution and exploitation, pornography and obscenity, which role the government recognizes;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby rename the Inter-Agency Task Force created under Proclamation No. 13, Task Force and expand its composition to include government offices and agencies, private and non-government organizations and the international organization listed in the annex attached hereto.
