[ Proclamation No. 2471, December 26, 1971 ]

DECLARING JANUARY 3, 1986, AS “ANTERO S. SORIANO DAY” IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TANZA, PROVINCE OF CAVITE.

WHEREAS, in its Resolution No. 32-A, series of 1985, the Sangguniang Bayan of Tanza, Cavite requests that January 3, 1986, be declared as a non-working special public holiday in the Municipality of Tanza, Province of Cavite, to be known as “Antero S. Soriano Day”, to mark the 100th Birth Anniversary of the late Antero S. Soriano, who was born on January 3, 1986 and was a former Governor of the Province of Cavite (1912-1919); Senator representing the 5th District comprising the provinces of Cavite, Batangas, Tayabas, Mindoro and Marinduque (1919-1925); Representative of the Province of Cavite from 1925 until his death; and a member of the second Philippine Independence Commission to the United States of America in 1922; and

WHEREAS, the residents of the Municipality of Tanza; Province of Cavite desire to celebrate Antero S. Soriano’s 100th Birth Anniversary with fitting ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare January 3, 1986, as a non-working special public holiday in the Municipality of Tanza, Province of Cavite, to be known as “Antero S. Soriano Day”.1aшphi1
