DECLARING THE 4TH WEEK OF OCTOBER OF EACH YEAR AS THE “NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY WEEK..”

WHEREAS, productivity offers a potent strategy for business and economic progress and at the same time a moral imperative to the country, and in the government’s efforts to promote the welfare of the nation;

WHEREAS, productivity can be achieved through a conscious and concerted effort of both the private sector and the government, as instruments for productivity promotion;

WHEREAS, in order to create an environment supportive of a concerted national sustained productivity program, the National Productivity Movement plays the vital role in effecting recognizable increases in the national productivity performance through the mobilization of all sectors of the economy;

NOW THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the 4th week of October, 1985 and the years thereafter, as “National Productivity Week” under the auspices of the National Productivity Movement.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
