[ Proclamation No. 2429, June 18, 1985 ]
DECLARING MONDAY, JULY 1, 1985 AS SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN SOUTHERN LEYTE.
WHEREAS, July 1, 1985 marks the Silver Anniversary of the creation of the Province of Southern Leyte; and
WHEREAS, the residents in the said province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their province’s history with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, July 1, 1985, as a special non-working public holiday in Southern Leyte.
